IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SAUDI STUDENTS
 
Applications invited for professional courses in India under Self Financing Scheme for students from friendly developing countries, including Saudi Arabia,  for the academic session 2015 – 16.
  
 

Under the Self Financing Scheme, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, has invited applications for nomination to undergraduate courses in MBBS / BDS / B.E. / B. Pharmacy / Diploma in Engineering / Diploma in Pharmacy for  Foreign Students from friendly developing countries, including Saudi Arabia,  against reserved seats for the academic session 2015-16. For admission to Medicine and Pharmacy courses, a candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of Central Board of Secondary Education in India).  For Engineering Courses a candidate must have secured 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% in English in the qualifying examination (equivalent to 10+2 standard of Central Board of Secondary Education in India).  Kindly note that effective current academic session. For Diploma in Engineering Course, a candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the first attempt and 50 % in English in 10thas well as 12thGrade examination. 

 

For B. Pharmacy/Diploma in Pharmacy courses, a candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate works with atleast 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) seperately and 50% in English in the qualifying examination.
 
Applications which should be complete in all respects may be sent through the Embassy of India, Riyadh or Consulate General of India, Jeddah latest by 11th  May 2015.  Only Saudi nationals who are eligible for the above courses can apply.  Full details, including other requirements to be met by the candidate, are available on the website of the Consulate General of India, Jeddah: www.cgijeddah.com

Essential Criteria
 

·         For admission to all undergraduate courses, universities/institutes of higher education in India require candidates to be in possession of Higher Secondary/ GEC ‘A' level/any other examination equivalent to +2 stage of Indian qualification (12 years of schooling) with subjects related to their chosen area of study. However, for entry into diploma programmers, the qualification should comprise of 10 years of schooling.

·         Additional requirements, if any, are as per the course sought to be pursued.
